Journey Planner - Find the quickest route from A to B
Helsinki has an excellent public transport network with short distances between stops. The metro, tram and local bus services are very reliable. Most places in the city centre are also easy to reach on foot. The compact size of the city makes it easy to get to know, and moving about from one place to another is very simple. Practically everything in the city centre – hotels, restaurants, cafes, shops and sights – is within a walking distance.
Ground transport for the FIG Working Week delegates can be based on the public transport network including trams, buses, metro and local trains. Messukeskus Helsinki is easy to reach from all hotels by bus or tram in 10-20 minutes and by train in 5 minutes. Indeed, the public transport system in Helsinki is quick and easy and highly recommended.
A great way to see the city is by bicycle. Bikes can be rented, for example from Greenbike, or borrowed from your hotel.
